All My Faves
One type of website I really enjoy stumbling upon are sites that people create to show off the websites they enjoy visiting. It is a lot of fun to see what people are interested in (helps me see the trend in the web), and also helps me find websites that I have not yet seen. Today's website has to be one of the most comprehensive sites I have seen in awhile for a website favorites list!

The list is ordered by category and shows the logos of each website...which is a lot nicer on the eyes! Just this is a lot of fun, but the creator of the site has taken it to another level. There are extra sections (Entertainment, Kids, Shopping, and Travel) that categorizes the original categories a little more. The site also has a section of the author's weekly favorites.

This site is an excellent find, and I hope you enjoy looking through it.

2008 Superbowl Commercials
Yesterday I decided to discuss the outcome of the super bowl. Today, I am going to talk about what most people look forward to...the commercials! For a 30 second spot this year, it cost a company 2.7 million dollars. For that price, every commercial should be perfect! While a few of them were a disappointment to me, a lot of them caught my eye and made me laugh. I think my favorite commercial this year has to be the Doritos where the guy uses a Dorito on a mouse trap. What happened was very unexpected and was ridiculously funny!

If you want to see a commercial someone is talking about, one you missed, or just want to replay your favorite, check out today's website. Myspace.com has done a nice job organizing them and letting you watch them on their faux television.

Mrs. Claus’ Cookbook
claus cookbook
It seems that this holiday season is the time for baking! Cookies, pies, gingerbread houses, and many other deserts are made during this time of year to help celebrate. Our belts might not like all of this food, but we sure do!

If you are interested in trying out some new recipes, check out today's website...Mrs. Claus' Cookbook. This recipe is part of the Northpole website. When I started looking through the categories, I was amazed at the amount of recipes. I do not think I am exaggerating when I say there are close to 1000 different recipes to try out! If you have tasted something at a party or friends house and always wanted the recipe, this is the first place I would look!

SPCA.com
spca
One week ago today, my family went to the SPCA to get 2 new kittens for our home. Earlier in the week our 17 year old cat passed away, and the house just was not the same without multiple cats running all over the place. The 2 new guys that we got are totally crazy, making them a riot to sit and watch. They are 10 week old brothers. Their names -- Brewster and Bailey.

Our local SPCA was flooded with animals to be adopted, so I decided to push the SPCA's website to help other people adopt pets in their area. Not only is the SPCA website helpful for people interested in getting a pet, but it is great for people already with pets. They have sections on the site to discuss pet care, wellness, and stories from around the world of people and there pets. If you are a pet lover, the site has a ton of great articles to read.

My Beautiful America
my beautiful america
My mother sent me an email this weekend with a link to a flash video in the shape of the United States. It was called "My Beautiful America". When the video starts, pictures start showing up from across the US. The background music is different songs that relate to the US. I really enjoyed looking through all of the pictures to see what I have/have not seen already, and really just to see the actual beauty of our country. One thing that I really wish the site had was video controls. I would love to be able to stop on a couple pictures to look at them in a little more detail. Find time in the next day or two to watch this...it is really worth it!
