I missed the excitement of writing about something specific about the summer starting! Even though the first day of summer has come and gone, I am going to write about something summer related for today's post. Kenny Chesney has come out with a new hit called "Summertime" that has become very popular among country listeners everywhere. The style of the song is very popular to his other more recent music with a relaxed feel, and the lyrics showing the idea of being in the perfect spot. Usually Kenny writes about being at a beach somewhere and relaxing, but this time the song is about being on the summer starting and everything that is great about the summer....ballparks, summer drives, the pond everyone goes swimming in, etc. It is hard to talk about the vocals and the instrumentals of the group. You expect them to be perfect, and they always are! Even if you are not into country, give the song a chance and take a listen. The song is not as country as most people think.
